Today we are bringing you one of the best design studies we had in years. It is a tribute to one of the best-looking Alfa Romeo cars of all time, the 33 Stradale. It is made by a team of very talented people who poured their hearts and souls into this project. The team included Steffen Hess, Marco Zafferana, Christian Schutz, Sergio La Gattuta, and Andrea Castiglione.

The main goal of the project was to honor the original legend which was produced from 1967 to 1969. Only 18 units of this particular car were made.

The team decided to use this car for inspiration simply because it was one of the most exciting proportions that were ever made, and we from the Alfisti Crew certainly agree.

Alfa’s creation was the top when it comes to both performance and aesthetics, and it was simply the best inspiration imaginable. The main elements which characterize this amazing design are simplicity and classic lines which perfectly pay the tribute to the original.

According to the team, it is simply a suit for the driver which would offer incredible performance and agility, while giving the rest of us stunning visual pleasure that can’t be surpassed.

Each team member was in charge of a task. Andrea came up with the idea (and interior design) and a few inspirations which would be perfect for the project. The first one was, of course, the 1968 Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale followed by the Form Follows Function Sofa, 1965 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA, SM.79 Sparviero, and 1969 Alfa Romeo 33/2 Coupe Concept.

You can see them below, and you can see that each of these inspiration pieces played their own part in the final design. The torch was passed to Steffen who was in charge of the 3D Poly mock-up, while the Christian did the surface modeling. Marco did the 3D modeling, and Sergio did the UX.

So what makes this study so special? Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale Visione is incredible in every way. While it still holds the classical contours of the original, it implements the modern elements.

It all works exceptionally well together, and the overall appeal is extraordinary. Attention to detail is on the top level, and that is also one of the reasons why this particular design is one of the best out there. The project is so well done when it comes to design that it could go straight into production.
