As most car enthusiasts know the best place in the world for car testing is Nurburgring (Nordschleife track configuration), or as some people call it, “Green hell”. In this case, it proved to be the perfect place for new Alfa Romeo 4C which circled the legendary track in 8 minutes and 4 seconds setting the new track record in class of cars under 250 HP.

If you somewhat follow car news and track times at Nurburgring, you know that Alfa Romeo 4C track time is very close to the track times achieved by pure sports cars with much higher price and with a lot more HP.

What kind of performance can we expect from Alfa 4C? Well, it goes from 0 to 100km/h in 4.5 seconds, its maximum speed is 260km/h, you reach 1.2G when braking, and 1.1G when accelerating.

So, Alfa Romeo 4C really justifies its place in class of pure sports cars. Optimal weight distribution of 40:60 in favor of back axle with a power to weight ration of more than 250HP on one ton is one more proof that these are performances of a true supercar.

Beside the great agility and traction, the main role in this whole story has the 1.750 cc turbo petrol engine which delivers 240HP. Newest generation of Alfa’s TCT transmission and advanced DNA selector with a Race mode help this four cylinder beast draw out the maximum performance on the moment’s notice. Check out the Alfa Romeo 4C in action at Nurburgring-Nordschleife in the video below.
