One of the most common issues on Alfa Romeo Giulietta is the one with the recirculation motor. First sign of the mentioned issue is the discovery of the white plastic lever, or arm, in the footwell. The problem arises when the motor twists off the driving gear of the lever, thus making it inoperational.
Even though the motor itself is quite small, it still has enough torque to damage the plastic part. The easiest option would be 3D print another lever, but from the experience of numerous Giulietta owners 3D printed part fails either immediately, or after couple of months.
