New Alfa Romeo Cuorerosso Concept

Alfa Romeo has been focused on producing the cars market demands, placing the enthusiasts in the second plan. However, that might be changing soon. At this year’s Paris Motor Show Alfa introduced something many petrol-heads might be excited about. It is a concept called Cuorerosso – vision of the future sedan in a coupe shape that just might be a design plan for the Giulia replacement.

The door configuration is a bit unusual in today’s automotive industry, taking after Mazda’s RX-8. Overall shape is extremely aggressive while still keeping that Italian elegance. When it comes to powertrain, it comes with famous Alfa V6 that works in combination with electric motors giving Cuorerosso a 4-wheel drive configuration. Whether this is only a design exercise, or something Alfa might follow in the future, only time will tell, but honestly, it is something we would like to see more of.

Just to remind you, we are supposed see yet another mid-size crossover from the company in 2027. Now, whether we need another SUV/crossover from Alfa, you be the judge of that. But the news doesn’t end there. We are also supposed to see the Giulietta replacement in 2028. If the new Giulietta’s design takes after the Cuorerosso Concept, we might be in for a nice surprise.

Hopefully, Alfa engineers will give us some exciting petrol engines, as they did in the past, so we’re not stuck with hybrid options only. We, as an Alfisti, want the best for the company, and while we understand that Alfa needs to produce for the mainstream market, we just hope they don’t forget about us.
