Lot of Alfa Romeo models are artwork themselves…, charming, harmonious- holiday for eyes. What should we say about this car that came out of Zagato design studio? What do Italian cars have to give them so much charm, or should we say appeal? Well, maybe we shouldn’t be so surprised since most influential design studios are based in Italy – Pininfarina, Guigiaro Italdesign, Carrozzeria Bertone, Zagato…

Beautifully designed Italian cars always gave us something more when it comes to joy of driving, even if they were not at the top of performance world.

We could say with confidence that if it’s possible to find cars with soul, then they would definitely be Italian cars.

One of the relatively new creations that Zagato designed is Alfa Romeo TZ3 Corsa and it really represents the culmination of the long cooperation between these two Italian companies, and it also marks 90 years since design studio Zagato was created and the whole century of racing heritage of car company from Milan.

When it comes to design, Alfa Romeo TZ3 Corsa reminds us of its predecessors, and its retro look seems like a logical step forward compared to present Alfa Romeo supercar 8c Competizione.

This two-seater, just like its predecessors is basically a racing car with aluminum body and tubular chassis made out of carbon fibers, which lowered the car mass to impressive 850 kilograms. Under the hood there is atmospheric 4.2 liter V8 engine borrowed from Maserati Gran Turismo, which develops 420 Hp.

Power is transferred to rear wheels by six speed sequential transmission. Tires used on rear wheels are Pirelli PZero 285/45 R18, and in front 245/45 R18 were used. According to published information TZ3 Corsa reaches 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds, while its maximum speed is over 300 km/h.

Only one Alfa Romeo TZ3 Corsa is made, and it is ordered by German collector Martin Kapp, who is also a proud owner of TZ1, TZ2, SZ Coda Tonda from 1959 and 1961, as the Junior Z and SZ concept models.
